I am trying to trace anyone from the Yon family from the island of St Helena. This is the family of my ex wife in England. Her name is Angela Mary Anne Yon, and I believe her fathers' name was Henry?

I live in Orlando, Florida. My Grandfather, George Yon, was born on the island of St. Helena. He passed away in 1994. However, he has a brother, Robert Yon, who lives in England and a sister, Mary Yon, who lives in Zimbabwe. My Grandfather's family emigrated from St. Helena to Mozambique in the early 1900s and from Mozambique to Zimbabwe subsequent to that. If you contact my uncle Bob (Robert Yon) in England he can give you extensive information on the Yon's from St. Helena.

I forgot to post the email address

If you would like to get in touch with my uncle, Robert Yon, please email me at vlbrice@aol.com and I will give you his email address. He also has extensive links to the geneology databases for the Island of St. Helena, and maintains contact with our relatives who still live on the Island.

Hi Vanessa,

Thanks for the note, appreciate it. If you would like to e.mail me anything you have, it would be good. I started doing research into my own family tree and decided to delve into my ex wifes' ............we're still best of friends, eventhough she still lives in England and I am living in Colombia now. Though funny enough, we do get to Miami often, only returned last Friday, my wife's family has a house there.

Ok, again thanks, hope to hear from you.
