Hello,
I think that we can in some way help each other, Leon Yokely was your Dad's cousin. If he is my grandfather, his daughter Bonnie Yokely married a Davis. I am not sure of the first name of the first Davis that she married, but something happen and I do beleive that it was the brother of the Davis that she was married to before and his name was Alvin Davis. I am not to much familar with the Davis side. I do know that some lived in Florida, and some in New Orleans. If any of this sounds familuar please let me know.
thanks Dayle

Hi,
I am sorry for getting back so late with you. I am sure that the Yokelys I am looking for are from around Giles Tn.
Black Dutch from what I understand is when the Catholic's seprated any one who didnt stay with the Catholic's was consider Black Dutch. The Indian comes in on the Yokely side I am not sure where yet. I do know my dad would tell us that we was black dutch, indian and german.
Do you have any informantion on the Yokely's or Howards my grandmother Viola Howard that married my grandfather Leon Yokely had two children Bonnie and Frank Yokely.
Thaks

I seem to be answering incorrectly because my post was labled invalid but am uncertain how or why.
There were many Yokley's and it is possible that it is the same line. The most of my records are in storage as we are downsizing. I will look over my posted records and see if I locate your given names. My other post was more informative but of little use since rejected. I will take time to read the guidelines more carefully and get back to you.

Hi Jenny,
I am so sorry that it has taken so long to get back to you. I have had a few health problems. I am excited that you are taking or have taken the time to look over the records that you have for Yokely. I am at a lost looking for my grand father Leon Yokely. I did not think that it would be this diffcult this early in looking up the ancestor's maybe futher down the great great...Please if you have not had time to do so, I ask that you may take the time to try to check out your records now. I will promise to stay on top of anything that you send to me. I am excited. God Bless
