YOUNGSTOWN, OH - Robert Joseph Yohman, 75, of the city’s westside, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at his home.
Robert was born March 10, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio a son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Thomas Yohman, and was a lifelong area resident.
He was a 1953 graduate of Chaney High School, and attended Youngstown University.
Bob worked for Lancy Surveyors, and then for the city of Youngstown for 30 years, retiring as a surveyor in 1993.
Mr. Yohman was a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church and of Jednota F.C.U. No. 308. He was an avid musician and was a member of the Button Box Club and of the Polka Boosters. He enjoyed bowling, playing his music and spending time with his family and friends. Bob will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves his beloved and loving wife of nearly 54 years, Rose Marie Nardella Yohman, whom he married Nov. 24, 1956; his daughter, Karen Marie (John) Burnett of Boardman, Ohio; his brother, Thomas (Agnes) Yohman of Youngstown, Ohio; step-grandchildren, Anthony (Carolyn) Burnett and Michael (Gena) Burnett; and step-great-grandchildren, Carter, Natalie, and Ava Burnett.
His sister, Rita Dunn, is deceased.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 31, at Kinnick Funeral Home, 477 N. Meridian Road, Youngstown.
Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home, and continue at 11 a.m. at Holy Name of Jesus Church on N. Lakeview Avenue in Youngstown.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
