Hi there. I am new here and am interested in anyone who might know about Jay Yohe, born in Iowa circa 1884, married Charity Countryman in South Dakota 1907, and my trail ends in Denver Colorado in 1920. My sister has all the old photos, but haven't spoken to her in years and was hoping to get some help. Before my dad passed in 2001, he was contacted by Egensearch of AZ about an inheritance and genealogy info. All the data was given to to my mother who spent the money and threw away the book! Family, right? Anyway, I am descended from his oldest son, Farrell Everett (Jack) Yohe and any info or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.

Forgot to mention that this is Jay Franklin Yohe, not Jay Yohe the reverend of Pennsylvania.

It would help to know a more specific birth location. There were at least two lines of Yohes from my immigrant ancestor Michael (1746-1832) who went to Iowa; mostly to southeastern counties. There was also a Lawrence Yohe who immigrated from Germany to Houston, Minnesota (southeastern, near LaCrosse, WI), and I think some of his descendants went to northeastern Iowa.

Ancestry member jamesschwarz2003 has a private tree that includes a Jay Franklin Yohe, born 1884 (doesn't say where); you might try contacting him.
