Yoes Family Cemetery near West Fork, Ark
I'm trying to find the Yoes Family Cemetery near West Fork, Ark. Also, a family Bible for Peter and Sarah Anderson from 1844 that may have been passed from the Rev. Yoes with his papers from 1840 to 1845. I also would like to find the location(s) of the churches in the area around that time. Thank you in advance for any help. Nathan Anderson

Would like to exchange information regarding the Willam Conrad Yoes.I am a descendant of his brother, John YOES, and his son John C. YOES, who became the TEXANS.....I find that William Conrad's son, Jacob "Big Jake" is MOST COLORFUL and am seeking information on him. Have you any data that you can confirm their lineage from their father, James YOES, to Johan Jerg Johe, aka John Georg Joh/Yoe/YOES.....I have found a few records GERMANY to a Hans Johe, married to an Anna Kopf circa 1570, but need to connect all. Any help will be grateful for. Looking forward to your reply....Anna YOES Vaughn....

Hello Ana.
Rev. William Conrad Yoes had a brother John? Very interested in this information, and curious what you may have regarding/connecting them.
I have quite a bit on Jacob "Black" Yoes. Recall that I have a copy of his death card too, which has a photo of him. I would have to pull this from the boxes. Would be glad to forward on to you.
Why do you believe that William Conrad Yoes born 1796/1804(birth date depending on which record you believe), the one that was the f/o of Jacob "Black", had a brother John? The reason I ask is because I believe that Jacob Yoes -- the Jacob born abt 1789 -- is also William Conrad Yoes' brother. William and Jacob both settled in the same area. Their families seem to have been close.
Note, I do have files on various Yoes families. Many did settle in TX. In fact, some descendants of my Jacob Yoes born abt 1789 also settled in TX. There is one theory out there that lists a John as a brother to Rev. William Conrad Yoes, but I have not been able to prove this. However, I did visit Salt Lakerecently and found some data at the FHL regarding this. I have yet to piece it all together though.
I have bits and pieces on the Yoes group before 1789. Not sure how, or if they connect. Am interested in what you have regarding Hans Johe who married Anna Kopf abt 1570.
I will try to look for that box. Will also look forward to your reply.
Best regards, Debra

Re: Yoes Family Cemetery near West Fork, Ark
Hello Gary.
Thank you for your response post.
Actually, I don't live in Arkansas. I live on the 'left' coast ;-). Some day I hope to visit Arkansas.
This is what I show: William Conrad Yoes was born sometime bet 1796>1804 depending on which record you believe. I believe that this William Conrad Yoes was the brother of 'my' Jacob Yoes b)abt 1789. William Conrad had a son Jacob, and my elder Jacob b)abt 1789 also had a son Jacob. I was wondering which Jacob you were referring to? All these Jacobs are running around the Washington CO Arkansas area.
Back to Alexander Anderson... I do not have all of the descendants of this Alex. I do know that he had a daughter Rosetta (SEE 1880 census below) who apparently married James Blain Johnson. PER my notes, James B. & Rosetta Johnson had a son Benjamin Harris Johnson who married Jewel Palmer. Side NOTE:This information regarding the Johnson family was passed on to me. I have not documented these 'connections'.

I have always found that researching the siblings and collateral lines of my family is very important. This is why I have put together a file on William Conrad Yoes. Besides, this excercise helped me to sort out the various Jacobs. I would be happy to share all that I know about Wm. Conrad. Please contact me directly.
Best regards, Debra
