Hi Debbie,

My paternal great grandparents were Yoerks
from Olean, New York.
Joseph Edward Yoerk b. 1858;
went missing on train to Pittsburg.
He married Nancy Carstater b. 1860
in Westport, Penn. My grandmother
Hazel Amanda Yoerk b. Olean, N.Y
said that they also lived
at some point near Verona in Penn.
Other children of Joseph and Nancy were
Walter W. or Pippie; Arthur A. or Peak;
Raymond B; Harry A. or Dump (b. Nov. 28, 1884);
Dessie Mae
or Dess and Edward Leroy Yoerk.

My Mom said that Joseph when his parents
first came to or visited the US from
Germany.

Does this help? I would like more info about Joseph Yoerk
Joseph and also about Nancy's family-for example were they
Pennsylvania Dutch as my graandmother thought.

Hope this helps.
