Anna married Konstantin VABOLIS, they had abt 10 children while in Shenandoah, PA (1895-1910). Abt 1920-22, they moved to Detroit, MI area with most of their children.
Anna had YODIS relatives in PA: Vincent, Stanislaus/Stanley, Josepha, Petronella, Alexander.
Does anyone know of these persons? I'd like to know something of my grt-grandparents, their families.

I, too, have noted other spellings of my grt-grandmother's maiden name: Yodyis, Juodis, to cite a couple.
Since my first posting, I have learned that Anna YODIS had at least 3 siblings: Walter, Charles (who moved from Shenandoah, PA to Frackville, PA, & ran a grocery), & Petronella (also called Fanny).
ALL were born Russia-Poland/Lithuania, immigrating here prior to 1892, & initially setting in Shenandoah, Schuylkill Cnty, PA.

How exciting! Our family Bible says that my father-in-law's father, Stanley Joseph Yodis, had a broher Walter, and Charles, and "a sister." This information came from my mother-in-law after my father in law had died as I tried to record family history. My father in law was Anthony Joseph Yodis. He had 3 sons and I am married to the youngest, Fred. The family came from Poland, they say, although records look like Lithuania (but borders changed.) Stanley lived in Tamaqua, Pa. near Frackville. He died in 1941. I don't have much more information except that Stanley had sister Mildred who lives in New Jersey. Hope this is useful information. Please feel free to respond! (My father-in law had once told me that an alternative spelling was Juodis and that it meant "black" in Polish. . . . ?
