Hans Yoder immigrated from Switzerland in early 1800s and settled in Bucks County, PA. Yoder somewhere transformed into Yothers. A good book on the Yothers family history has been published in Pennsylvania which may help you.

I am your cousin! I am the daughter of Maud Yothers who was the daughter of Alfred Yothers. I have heard of your family for years. My name is Lorraine Lauper and I live in Stockton, CA. My e-mail is smallcaps@aol.com. I am using the Ancestry.com program at the Stockton Family History Center. I have a lot of information on the Yothers family going back several generations.

My Uncle Clinton Bennett (Monmouth County/New Jersey) has Yothers for a middle name. He, his parents, and all siblings are deceased, so I have no idea why they gave him a middle name of Yothers. What is the name of the book you mention abouth Yother family history?

My Uncle Clinton Bennett (Monmouth County/New Jersey), has Yothers for a middle name. Born early 1900s. I have no idea why. Perhaps you had relatives in New Jersey. There has to be some connection as to why he was given this middle name. He, his parents, and all siblings are deceased so I am at a brick wall as to why he was given the middle name of Yothers. I am hoping you might have some lead that I may follow. Respectfully, Gail
