Surnames: Yoast,
There are several YOASTs buried in Shady Grove Cemetery, Humansville, MO (Polk County). They are Andrew, Barbara A, George C, Hugh, John, John (two Johns), Margaret, Martha, Martha A, M M E. Most died in the 1800s, a couple of them died in early 1900s. I am not connected to the Yoast family but several people have come together to save this cemetery as it is very poor condition, plus being hit by a tornado last spring leaving trees down and stones turned over. If you would like more info please email me .

Thanks,

I'd like to compare notes on the AR Yoasts - I have a Margrette 'Addie', maybe married Stracener, then Baker.
I have a Lemur Morris b 1854 MO(?), with a son Morris, all in White Co AR. Can we connect? I do havemore info on other Yoasts, other states, back to pre 1800. theo

Not sure of an address for Shady Grove Cemetery, Humansville, MO, but it is the second road heading west, south of the blinker light (on 13 highway). Just follow the road around about a mile or so. The listing for the graves are listed on the net. Findagrave.com is one place to search. This is really a good site.

Did you trace your line to Germany yet? We are interested in tracing the James Brantly Yoast line to Europe and are very interested if it goes to Germany.
