Amanda it is neat to hear from you. I do know that my fathers Grandfather was the first to come here from Lithuania. As for our name it was changed at Ellis Island when he came over to this country. I've heard it said that our name used to be Yuznukus or nukus or something to that effect. The spelling of course I am not sure of. My family all comes from Connecticut.

My family comes from Connecticut also. Our last name was changed from Yazarski. Actually there are still Yazarski's in Lithuania! My grandfather was Albert Yiznitsky and my father is Kenneth Yiznitsky.

I believeyour Grandfather is my fathers oldest brother. Also named George. That is if your Grandfathers widow is Ida currently living in Fla. I will have to tell my Dad who was the youngest of 8 That he has the spelling wrong. It would be very interesting to me if we could find relatives in Lithuania. Iam 38 yrs. old and live in NC for the last 7 yrs. I have three brothers and one sister all but one still living in CT. My email address is Yiznitsky@cs.com
