Looking for information where my paternal grandfather's last name comes from.
My great-grandfather is Antonio Yharte from Midland, Texas.

My had a Tio Antonio, who lived in Midland. My mom's maiden name was Yharte. We also had family in Marathon, Odessa, and Fort Stockton. I can't help but wonder if you and I are distant relatives!
Drop me a line and we can compare roots!

Hi Danny, there is a good chance that we are related. I don't know all of my grandmother's brothers or sisters though.

I heard a story that the "Yharte" name in our family came from a man who disgraced his family. He moved from Mexico to Arizona or New Mexico and changed his last name to Yharte. So I was wondering if this is true then what exactly would be my great-grandfather's last name?
