Looking for info re: a Samuel Yetto (died approx. 1942). Possible original name of Samuel Guertin. Family story is that he came from Canada. He married Mary Louise Beaudoin (02/12/1878 - 04/14/1961). They lived in Troy, New York and had 12 children. Any help would be appreciated.

If you're interested in contacting me, please e-mail me at smtpjtnc@aol.com. I have been working on the Beaudoin/Yetto tree for a short time but do have quite a collection of names.

My g-g grandfather was John Henri' Santerre who married Adeline Yetto. They lived in the Lansingburg area of Troy, NY. If you have any knowledge/connection to them I would apprecitate hearing from you. Thanks!

Do you have any idea as to dates for your Yetto family members? When they were born, died, married, etc. Our Yetto family is from the Lansingburgh/Troy area. Peter Yetta was our g.g.grandfather...maybe his sister is the person you refer to. His original name was Pierre Guertin and was born in Canada.

Thanks for getting back to me. I don't have anything as far as the Yetto Family other than my g-g-grandmother was Adeline. I just found out today her maiden name was Yetto from a Social Security application by her son. According to the 1910 Census she was born Apr 1857 in Canada. Her parents were born in French Canada. She immigrated to the US in 1867 and married John Henri' Santerre in 1878. They had eleven children and in 1910 8 were living. As far as I've been able to trace they always lived in the Lansingburg area or Troy. (NOTE:I grew up in Watervliet). The children I've found are:
Joseph J. B:1878 D:1879 Buried Lansingburg.
John B:1880
Arthur P. B:1883 D:1952 (my g-grandfather)
Mary B:1884
Adeline B:1887
William J. B:1889 D:1933
Eveline B:1892
George B:1894
Joseph Frances B:1896 D:1966

Anything sound familier???

Many names are similar to grand aunts/uncles. We have an Arthur (b. 1903), Joseph (b. 1919), George (b. 1912). There were a total of 10 g.grandchildren of Pierre Yetto. Some family members are buried at St. John's in Lansingburgh. We are all from the Lansingburgh/Troy area. Drop me a note when you get a chance and we will see what info we can share.
