I'm looking for any information about a Christleib Yeske, he was born in 1824 in Prussia. He married Minnie, not sure of last name. Their children were Herman b. 1859, William b. 1862, Albert b. 1864, Rhinart b. 1866, Reka b. 1868 and Mena b. 1870, all born in Prussia. The 1880 census places them in Irving, Montgomery, Illinois. Herman later resided in Minnesota. TIA

I have doing some research on this very family and discovered interesting information. After printing out a listing of all the Yeske's in Montgomery Co., I found only three families living there in 1880. One family is headed by Christleib, and a second is William Yeske's (b.1825). Both families immigrated from Germany in 1873, and I have to think they are brothers. They live close together in Irving, and share many common family names. Then, check out this source...it's a doozy! "Past and Present of Montgomery County, Illinois" will give you middle initials, maiden names, and some juicy information about the marriages of William J. Yeske and Minnie A. Yeske into the prominent Lipe family. I found this article in Ancestry as I was researching under "Yeske in Illinois". P.S. The third family there is a group of siblings, Henry F., William, and Reka, who are farming a small plot about four miles from Irving. Henry F. is my umteenth great-grandfather. Maybe he's related, maybe not. If you find out anything, let me know...Lynda Berlin at LFBerlin@AOL.com

Hi. I have quite a bit of info on this family, although I'm not positive that I'm related. Minnie's last name is 'Clabonda', middle initial 'B.' A good source of family relationships and marriages is "Past and Present of Montgomery County, Illinois". I have spouse names for some of their kids, too. If I can be of any more help, contact me.
