I may have information on the Gustav Yeske you are looking for -- mine was born 3 July 1863 in Germany, and died 17 October 1930 in Michigan -- could that be the same man? One of his brothers spelled the name Jeske early on, and later changed, also.

This is in response to your request about Gustave Yeske in MI. The info I have is Gustave b. 7-3-1863 m. Mary Zuhl. Children: Max 10-2-1886 (My husband's grandfather); Grace 1-31-1890; Edward 9-20-1892; Harry 5-10-1894; William 4-29-1897; Roy 10-17-1898. Two children died in childhood. Walter 5-12-1891 and Hertha 6-16-1896.

Yes, this is my Gustav Yeske. He and his wife Mary (or Marie) Zuhl were married 13 June 1889, St. Joseph, MI. They had one more child (making a total of 10) Roy b. 17 October 1898. Grace was my grandmother.
