Frank J. Yesh, 87, of Greensburg, died Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Greensburg Care Center, Hempfield Township, after an extended illness. He was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Johnstown, a son of the late Joseph and Stella M. (Oslhesky) Yesh. Frank served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II as a photographer and retired from Metal Photo, Greensburg. For many years, he also enjoyed his work as a professional photographer for his business, Yesh Photo. He will be remembered as a talented photographer, a first-chair violinist with the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra, and most importantly, as a wonderful father. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Dyda) Yesh, in 2006. He is survived by his son, Frank Charles Yesh and wife, Phyllis (Smail), of Greensburg; his daughter, Patrice Fiedelman; son-in-law, Stuart Fiedelman; and granddaughter, Katherine Rose Fiedelman, all of San Carlos, Calif. He is also survived by a sister, Angeline Tokar, of Glenshaw; a special sister-in-law, Sophia Yesh, of Johnstown; numerous relatives and many loyal friends. There will be no visitation or viewing. The family will greet friends starting at 9 a.m. Saturday prior to the Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Greensburg, with the Rev. Paul A. Lisik as celebrant. Private inurnment will be in St. Clair Cemetery, Hempfield Township. Arrangements by GAUT-BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity.
