I am searching for the parents of Amon Yerby
who came to Alabama in early 1800. I think
he came from North Carolina but can't prove
anything before his appearance in Alabama.

Amon Yerby was my great, great grandfather.
He came to Alabama from Tennessee. His son,
James Franklin Yerby married Sarah Dodson.
From this union my grandfather John W Yerby
was born. I have some history but have never
been able to trace him to 1700's before he
came to Tennessee. Have much family history
to this point but would have to refresh with
my notes. Have you been able to find more
information since your note was posted. I am
finding a whole new world in the internet!

Joan Davis Mayberry:
I don't believe it! Just this afternoon I was transcribing some of your information from the 'History of Freestone County Texas' articles on your family, and wondering if you were still doing genealogy research.
My husband's Parker family came from Leon County. His great-grandparents were Pleasant Montgomery & Eliza Catherine (Shirey) Parker. Their daughter Jimmie Parker marrried James Wade Yerby. Eliza's grandparents were Nathanial & Malinda (Oden) Davis from TN and AL, parents of several children who married into the Emmons family.
You and I HAVE to communicate directly, and I am delighted to find you on-line. You can contact me at rmparker@gvtc.com.

I am trying to find Sue Yerby. I am interested in her "Census History Form". I am a co-ordinator of a small Genealogy Group in Houston, Texas. Sometime ago I printed this form with her name at the bottom of the page. Some of our members liked it so much and wish to use it. Now, I am unable to find the form on the internet. Would you please give us an idea where we could download this form for our use.
We would appreciate it so very much.
