Hi Nick, Thanks for the information. I knew he was buried in that cemetery but I didn't know his dates. I've tried to find it but it's a small one, off the road and probably in a weed patch or in the woods. To beat all, it's less than five miles from my house. I guess I'll have to start knocking on doors. Thanks again. Trent Oiler

OMG! Trent, I stumbled onto your site by accident and I'm 99.9% sure we are related. I noticed about 8 family names that are inter-related to mine. Both my mother's side and my father's side are related to your father's side and I should be able to plug several of the holes in your tree.

Lindsey Hughes and Sarah Meadows are my GG grandparents on my maternal side through there daughter Martha Jane.

The Yeleys, Turners, Oilers and Wait(e)s are all related on my father's maternal side. Benjamin Waite Yeley was my GG grandfather through his daughter Lavina Yeley Henning. In fact, I have been studying on his and his father's Civil War plight and can share. I know where the are buried and have a pic of Benjamin. William Godwin was a stowaway from England and changed his name to Turner so he couldn't be found.

I know a lot about the Slocum/Wait Station area as I grew up there. 3 generations of my family grew up in Porter Church. I hope you don't mind but I copied your pic of Porter Church from an old site so I can name some of them for you. My dad is still alive and has a great memory. I will check with him and label it for you.

Perhaps we can share pics and info. Would love for you to contact me. You can reach me at susymerry@hotmail.com. My name is Susan Etterling Merry
