Family, I want you all to be blessed....I am sharing info that may be very valuable please let me know what you have. This is right from a genealogist in SC his contact info is there if you have questions.....
Ms. Hall, I checked for Margaret's birth record in Ancestry's delayed birth records but didn't find any for her. I found Margaret's and Nero's burial information in a book called "Tell Them We Have Gone On" by Claude Gilchrist. This shows them buried at New Hope church in Plum Branch, SC, which is in McCormick County. It shows Marggarett, born 1843, died 1942, and Nero, born 1845, died 1928. There are also Ada, Carrie, Jasper Jr. and Sr., Jeff, Lisa, Minnie, Neal, and another Nero, born 1909 died 1990.

In another book, "McCormick County Cemeteries", on page 6 I found burial sites for Frances A. Yeldell b. March 28,1829, d. January 9, 1901; Georgia Yeldell, daughter of Jasper P., b. 1902 d. 1972; and Jasper B. Yeldell, b. March 3, 1862, d. January 7, 1928. In the same book on page 116, there is a Yelldell cemetery "behind the home of Mr. and Mr. E. L. Hollingsworth, Hwy. 378, East", McCormick. Buried there is a William Yelldell, b. December 15, 1773 d. May 5, 1825; and Mary A., his wife, b. Sept. 12, 1775, d. May 4, 1835. There are "many other unmarked field stones."

These could be relatives of Margaret's. The book was published by the McCormick County Historical Society. If you contact them they may be able to give you additional information or some further leads for your search.

Prior to 1916 this area was in Abbeville, Edgefield, and Greenwood counties originally part of the Old Ninety Six District. These counties also have genealogical societies and historical societies and may be able to help you in your search.

Thank you for using our research facilities. I hope this is of some help. If you have further questions, please contact us again.

I am researching Yeldell family too, back to Anthony. I saw you are looking for Yeldell family cemetery in Mexia Texas. I live about 3 hours from there, but my folks are 30 minutes. Did you ever find that place? I could go try to find it and take photos if you have information. It's a TINY TINY TOWN (where Anna Nicole Smith came from!). Just wondering if you are still looking. If you have info on where this is I will be down there in the next few weeks around holidays. Let me know. Sherilee//texasflower76021

Hello Houston Yeldell. Im Christine Yeldell. My dad is Chris Yeldell and I believe we met a while ago at My. Pleasant Baptist Church. I was online looking for iformation about the type of American Indian that's mixed into our family, and I stumbled onto this message board. Does anyone know about our American Indian roots?
