Hello,
I am looking into my maternal family line. From what has been past down, we know our family is Black, white (of Dutch descent) and possible Native American. My great grandmother was Margaret Yeldell (born Mar 1850 in Edgefield and died 20 Jul 1942 in Bordeaux, McCormick SC). I believe her mother was named Sallie and her father Anthony. Margaret married Nero Talbert and gave birth to 15 children. My grandmother Daisey Mae Talbert is one of them. Daisey's youngest daughter and my mother (the sole survivor of seven) is Mable Quarles.
I would be most interested in hearing from anyone who may know of Margaret Yeldell.

Hello,
Margaret Yeldell was my great great grandmother. She married Nero Talbert. Both are buried in McCormick,SC in the cemetary of New Hope Baptist Church. Perhaps you know this already.
The Talberts just created a Facebook page. All of the decendants of Margaret and Nero are asked to sign up and become a part of this growing search for family. This page is named "Talbert/Tolbert Family" (Tolbert was a mispelling from the original Talbert name in which many family member adopted.)
It would be great to know something about Margaret Yeldell. Her son Jasper,Sr. is my great grandfather.
If you find out anything on Margaret, the family would well appreciate it. We do have a family historian, Annie Mae Getter, who is also a decendant. She too is on Facebook. I don't know if she as any information on Margaret. It may be worth your while to find out.
Thank you for posting this inquiry. It's good to know there's family out there serching for answers.

Margaret Yeldell is my greatgrandmother. Her husband was Nero Talbert. My grandfather Luther was the last of their 15 children.
I did the genealogy for my branch of the family and actually have a photo of both Margaret and Nero. I also have the death announcement from the local newspaper when she passed away.
