Well I do not know what to say really. My name is David Yeiter, the son of George Yeiter and grandson to Robert (Bob) Yeiter. My Grandfather currently lives in Huntville, TX with his wife Ruby Yeiter (was Robinett - sorry if I misspelled it). My father still lives in Houston, TX with his wife Beverly Yeiter. I am now in the military for just over 2 years and currently stationed at Ft. Hood, TX. Lucky me since I am close enough to my family that just a 3 hour road drive will take me to them. This is really just a reach out to any and all family members that are out there. From what my sisters (Michele and Ann) and I know, from my Grandfather's blood line, we are the only Yeiters out here. I would love to get in contact with any other Yeiters or really any family out there. Thank you for you time and have a good day.

I was looking through the Ancestry web page and came across your letter. I live in Idaho and my family was born and lives in Utah. Most of them in North Salt Lake. I don't know if we are related or not. My grandfather name was Charles David Yeiter.

I will check with my family down here in Texas. My Grandfather is named Robert (Bob) Marion Yeiter. I would be something else if it turns out that we are related. I find it odd that we do not know of any relatives and seem to be the only Yeiters there are. I will check and get back to you.

David James -

I'm sure we are cousins. If you can link
to the YEITER families in Michigan or Ohio
(Crawford County area), I can "grow" your
tree back to the early 1700s. I am descended from FREDERICK SIMON YEITER
(b. 1862 in Kent County, Michigan)

I am a decendent of David Yeiter. He came from Germany in the spring of 1849 and settled in Crawford County Ohio. He maried Christena M. Vogel and they moved to Kosciusko County, Indiana. I would like to hear from any Yeiter's.

I'm not "actually" a Yeiter, but my uncle, Lloyd Yeiter, married my mother's sister, Ruth Young. They were married in the Owosso, Michigan, area and stayed in Michigan for many years. Uncle Lloyd worked for the Michigan Auditor General's Office and I know that they lived in Cheboygan, Michigan, and Bay City, Michigan for many years. In 1967 Uncle Lloyd retired from the State of Michigan and they moved to Palmetto, Florida, where they both lived until their deaths. They have an adopted daughter, Karyl, who would be in her late 50's or early 60's by now, but no one has seen or hear from her in many years -- possibly deceased. I believe my Uncle Lloyd also had relatives in the Eugene, Oregon area. Sorry this is so sparce, but since he married into our family I don't really know that much, but home this helps somehow.

Forgot to mention that when our Great Grandfather came to the United States our last name was changed to YEITER from a different spelling. At this time I do not know what the original spelling was. This I will find out though.
