I am looking for anyone who may be a relation of Merwin or Melvin "James" Yeingst of Cumberland County, PA. His parents were Robert and Amelia Yeingst and his siblings were Florence, Boyd, Ralph, Clarence and Annie. He was born 1914 and lived in CT for a time in 1940's. He was a toolmaker. He died in Aug 1971. I cannot find any further records on him after 1944 in CT directories.
Thank you.

Hi. I seen your post online.
My maiden name is Yeingst. My Paternal Grandfather's name was Robert.
Robert & Amelia are both names that I have heard him or my Grandmother mention in the past. Unfortunately they are both deceased now.
They both lived in Duncannon, Perry County, Pennsylvania.
My Grandfather also lived in Cumberland County in his youth.

Hello. Thank you for your post. I would love to establish a connection with our ancestry. Is there anyone who can give you or do you know what the lineage is? Would Robert and Amelia have been your great-grandparents or gg grandparents? I do not show a Robert as a child of Robert and Amelia but maybe one of their children had a Robert.
I am trying to find relatives of Mervin James Yeingst b/c he was my mother's biological father. I have some pictures posted on my family tree if you would like to view them.
The tree name is Kasulat2. If you search family trees, you will find it. There are pics of the 4 Yeingst brothers/children of Robert and Amelia as well as a pic of Robert and Amelia.
If you woulld like to contact me directly, my email is cherallsmall@bellsouth.net. I look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks. Cheryl

Hi, My mom was Elsie Yeingst and her father was Clarence, who was a toolmaker in Bridgeport, Ct. He and my grandmother Marjorie Kuhn divorced. He moved back to Carlisle, Pa. He would come to Ct. for his yearly medical physical for his tuberculosis many years. That would be the time we would get to see him. I did go to his funeral in Pa.He still has 2 living daughters- Rose and Georgia, both living in Florida.Unfortunately, I never got to meet my grandfathers' family in Pa.I did go to family reunions for the Kuhn family in Lewistown while growing up. I would love to hear back from you. Sincerely, Lu-Ann (Sissy) Brighindi Powell

Lu-Ann, I am very excited to hear from you. I think we would be 2nd cousins, biologically. My grandmother was married to Mervin James Yeingst, brother to Clarence. I've been trying to find relatives who might have known him and know if he ever remarried and had more children. I believe that James and Clarence moved and lived together in Bridgeport area where they worked for the UEF Co. I would love to correspond via email. My email is cherallsmall@bellsouth.net. I have some photos I can share and maybe some info. Hope to hear back form you.
