POLLOCK, Missouri - Richard Yeggy, 65, died Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at his home surrounded by family.

Rev. Earl Baker will officiate. The Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan, Missouri, is in charge of arrangements.

Richard was born May, 7, 1943, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Roy and Georgia Mckillip Yeggy.

He grew up and attended school in West Liberty.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed playing cards and spent many hours with uproarious games of euchre with family and friends.

He married Carolyn Cole in April 1964. They had three children, Tracy of Tucson, Arizona, Donnie of Davenport and Kelly of Lebanon, Tennessee. He later married Joan Schnieder. They had one daughter, Georgia, all survive. Also surviving is a brother, Roy of Atalissa; five sisters, Betty Gaunt of West Liberty, Iowa, Mary Sprague of Nichols, Iowa, Pat Fox, Elizabeth Hollenbeck and Sherry Goodrick, all of Muscatine.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, great-granddaughter and two nephews.
