Jon:

I have the last name Yedinak and have recently started to research it. I was always told that it was uncommon and many people with that name are related. My grandparents were immigrants from Croatia and that is about as far as I can go. I live in Wisconsin and would love to hear from you.

Bill

Saw your post.

Hello, My name is Kevin J. Glowicki, but I am related to the Yedinak name.
My mothers father was Frank Yedinak of Streator, IL.
I have been interested in looking into each of my family histories and maybe we can share some family research.
My grandmother is still living and so are some of my grandfather's siblings.
I only knew that the name was Yugoslavian and could not figure out that it is specifically Croatian.
I way glad to find your post. Feel free to write back.

Thank you, Kevin J. Glowicki

My father was a Yedinak, He was from Slovakia, and came to this country around 1905.
He originally came to Secaucus N. J. He worked for H.J. Scarborough in New York City, and then moved to Echard Md. where he helped build Sandpatcch tunnel on the B and O
Railroad. He then became a coal miner, and lived and worked in Greene County, Pa. He
had twelve children, and died in 1975. I would be very pleased if I could find out about
his European family. He was the greatest human being that I ever knew. If you have any information, please email me at Yednock@shol.com Thank you!!
