Forgive me. It's been a long while since I've checked the message boards. I really do need to turn the gateway on to the mailing list so I'll know when someone posts to the message boards.
I have had a hard time this past year and haven't done much with my genealogy. I have also just moved so what I do have is still packed. And I have just bought a new computer so most of what I have on computer is still on my old one. Which isn't hooked up yet. But I wanted to touch base with you and let you know that yes...Yeddo does run in the family. Uncle Henry, actually, Great Uncle Henry went by Yeddo. There was an Uncle Oliver that served in the Civil War and is buried in the civil war cemetary in City Point WV. And, (I am working from memory now so don't take this to the bank just yet) I believe there was an Aunt Olive.
As was being discussed earlier, the Yaddow name has changed in many ways. But not so many that you would recognize it when you see it. Yeddo, Yaddo, Yado, Yaddaw, Yaddow, Guindon, Geddon are all variations of the Guindon name. And most assuredly, as we examine our family trees respectively, I'll be willing to bet your shorts we are all branches from the same tree.
You can contact me at
rikki@a-znet.com and I will try to help as much as I can but I think I will be more help once I get unpacked and straightened up.
