For those of us who trace our ancestors back to Ilsbeheim,Germany, I have become aware of a family who seem to be the last of the Jahraus families in that town. I have been in contact with a person living in a near by town who has visited and confirmed that there is a man named August Jahraus still living there with his wife. He owns and operates a apple juice and grape business. I am told he is somewhat shy and retiring and has not responded to leters sent to him. I would like to urge all of the Yearouts to mail him and his wife a Christmas card and let him know that there is a lot of Yerouts here in the USA thinking about them. He does not speak any English.
