I'll see if I can find more Gerhards to list. I don't know about the LDS catalog. I think you can find it on the net. I've never ordered their books. I e-mailed another person about Gerhard information, and am trying to process the information to see if
there is new information.
The date above refers to the date of immigration, not the birth date.

I'll get back when I have more info.

Surnames: Gerhard
Hi Susanne: Can you look on any of the other ships if it looks as if any of the Gerhards were brothers. Possibly Peter, Johan Peter or Johannes Peter. I had heard that the Gerhards that are part of my family tree came over as three brothers. Thanks. Irene Williams

I have the marr lic for these two and it looks like her name is Yeakey/Yeakel but researchers have said its Jeakey/Jeakel, do you find anyone in that book that might fit her family. I find nothing else but the marr lic on her anywhere. thanks for any assistance.

Jeakey, Mary Catharina, and William Smither, Burlington 1734 Aug. 5 New Jersey Marriages, Colonial Era, 1665-1800
lived Berks co Pa, Smither d there 1760, Mary then md Jacob Bachman, he d 1788, she was still alive acc/to the will as it named her, as the late widow of Wm Schmetter.
I have also heard of it being sp other ways...
The Pennsylvania Dutch Society official index lists variations of the names as JACKEL [LE], JAECKEL [LE], JAKEL [EL], JAKLE [EL], JECKEL [LE], JEGEL, JAKILL, JAKYLL, JEKYLL, JEKEL [LE]
....also substituting the J for a Y too.
I do know she was German prob born there around 1711...trying to find her family and if you could help point me in some direction I would surely appreciate it, thank you.
I found an Andrew Jaecke arriving at the NY port on the ship IRENE on 22 June 1750 but no idea if hes related and can find nothing more on him. NS
