I know your post was almost three years ago, however I just recently started researching family history. Soo.... Edward Yeagel (Original spelling was Yeakel) was my Great greatb Grandfather. His wife was Jane (Elliot) Yeakel, my Great great Grandmother. My fathers Great grandparents. My fathers mothers Grandparents. My grandmother was Marion Edith (Yeagle) Frank. She had several brothers and sisters. Only a few I can remember. George, Oscar and I believe Irene. There are some descendants in Lycoming Count. Williamsport PA area. Lester Yeagle is or was the head of the Lycoming county SPCA. I believe his father may have been George Yeagle, my grandmother Marions Brother. I hope this has helped you somewhat. My father and mother are still living and could probably get me more info if you have a specific name. They are totally computer illiterate, LOL.However my father has a cousin Joyce whom I believe was a Yeagle. I will try to find out her website. She is really into the geneology of this family. Thanks for your time E_mail back to Iam93fxstc@aol.com if you want. Have a good day! Les

I just happened to find your post and found it quite interesting that the Yeagle's in the Williamsport area are mentioned, considering that is where I grew up. I have always been interested in learning more about my ancestry, however, my dad's father was raised in numerous foster homes so I don't have much to go on. If you have any information about the Yeagle's in the Williamsport area I would love to find out more. Thanks so much!

Lycoming County PA Yeagle's

Surnames: Springer, Yeagel, Yeagle, Yeakel
I am researching my Springer line, and my third great grandfather, George Washington Springer, married Mary Yeagel in 1851, both of Muncy Creek Township in Lycoming County. The Muncy Luminary newspaper and St. Andrew's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Muncy both listed her as Mary Yeagel. In the 1850 census, Mary's family is listed as Yeagle. There is supporting evidence of three spellings (Yeagel, Yeagle, and Yeakel) for this family in the mid to late 1800s. George Washington and Mary Springer are buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hughesville, also in Lycoming County. There are Yeagle's and Yeakel's buried there as well, but no Yeagel's.

Little late to the party, but...my grandfather was Randall Yeagle from Bucks County...not sure of all his brothers, but I do recall Chester and Grover. Randall's children were Randall, Lee ( or Leonard ), Veronica, and Mary Elizabeth.
