I am looking for any information on my fathers family. My grandfathers name was Lawrence born Sept 25, 1899. My ggrfathers name was Nicholas and he was married to Elisabeth (Spaeth). I'm not really sure how they spelled the name back then, there are stories that my grandfather changed it to Yeager from Yaeger or Jager. From Germany. The siblings in the family were Mary, Margaret, Benjamin, Michael, George, Lind, Peter, Albert(who died at age 25), and Louella who was actually Mary's daughter, but was adopted by Nicholas and Elisabeth. If there is anyone with any information. My fathers name is Albert Peter Yeager and he was born in Boyd, Wisconsin. There is only him and my aunt Betty Lou still living in his immediate family and I have asked them all that they know on the families, which isn't a whole lot. I'd like to pass some information down to my children and the future generations, but I'm not having much luck. Please help if you can. My email is horgan@lakenet.com . Thank You

Yeager

I am trying equally hard to find the family of my grandmother, Catherine Yeager. She was born in 1863 and at one time lived in West Bend, Wisconsin. She married John Henry Knopp and they settled in Racine, Wisconsin where they raised a family of four boys and one girl. If you run across any information on Catherine, please let me know.

I wonder, if by chance, the Yeager that I am researching is of the same family. I have Otto Yeager who at the time of meeting my Julia Creuzer was living in Fairbault Minnesota. they married when she was 17 years old. They moved to Merrill Wisconsin. They had the following children: Catherine, Earl, Helen, Walter, Charles Otto. I wrote to people in the Merrill area but never got an answer back. Julia family was from Alma Wisconsin then from Wabasha MN.Otto emigrated from Germany in 1885.

Hi! I was just browsing the Yeager family in Baltimore MD and came across an Otto in the 1880 census, Baltimore 12th District (Lauraville). He was born in 1806 and was a shoemaker. His wife was Christiann b. 1832. They were both born in Saxony (Germany). I haven't checked the earlier years for him. Would you like me to do it?

Hi!
Ok, I couldn't stand the suspense. I looked at 1870. Not there. Looked at 1860 under Yager. He was there age 46 (born 1814), wife Christian age 42 (born 1818) daughter? Emma age 16 (born 1844) in MD. Wife was born in Saxony. It said that he was born in MD but it is the same guy. He was a shoemaker also. This was p.518 Roll 460, M653; 6th Ward Baltimore City 1860 US Census. He was living with Peter Loorer (sic.) age 25, lager beer saloon, and wife Mary, age 21. Hope this helps!
