I am not sure where my Yeager's came from, but I do know that they lived in St. Thomas, Pennsylvania and Shippensburg, Pennsylvania. They owned Restaurants and Grocery stores.
My great grandfather was John William, who went by William Yeager and his first wife was Annie M. Ehrhart (daughter of William and Mary Elizabeth (Kent) Ehrhart from Germany. His father was Albertus, who went by Bert Yeager, and had a son, Fred to Annie M. Prim. I know that she was married Elmer Montgomery Shuman, when she died, but can't find out if she and Bert Yeager were married (They had a son, John Frederick who went by Fred Yeager. He was my father's dad. They are all so mysterious. If you have any stories, any books ANYTHING about the Yeager's of Pennsylvania, Please let me know. My email address is junemitten@comcast.net.
Any information would be wonderful!

Yeager's of Hagerstown, MD

I am researching my great-great Grandfather Albertus (Bert) Yeager who is believed to have moved to Hagerstown, Maryland as a teen, leaving St. Thomas, Pennsylvania, where he was supposedly born.
He had a son, to Annie M. Prim (not sure if they were married). His name was William Yeager married to Annie M. Ehrhart. William and Annie (Ehrhart) Yeager had a son, Fred Yeager, who was the father of my Dad, Roy William Yeager. If anyone can share any Yeager information with me, I would be so happy to share what I have. They are something of a mystery.

Those names don't sound familiar to me. I don't know how these people get "lost". It's so sad when we want so much to find them and "know" them.
Albertus (Bert) Yeager was my great-great grandfather, apparently he wasn't married to (Annie M. Prim) when their son and my great-grandfather (John William Yeager) was born.
Annie, did get married in later years to Elmer Montgomery Shuman.
Elmer Shuman was the brother of John William Yeager's second wife, S. Catherine Shuman.
If any of these names are familiar, please let me know.

I also have pictures of people who no one knows and are not labeled. I found them in a box that my Aunt gave to me. The box belonged to my great grandfather, J. William Yeager.
If you wouldn't mind emailing the pictures that you have, maybe I could compare them to the ones that are in the box.

Hi Bill,
I saw your post and thought I would reply. My great-great grandafther was Nickolas Jaeger and my grandmother was Louella, Mary's daughter. Only recently was I made aware of my grandmothers story thanks to a very kind cousin from Boyd, Wisconsin. I would love to see any of the family history book since I am working to piece together my father's ancestry. Thank you:)
