My wife is a Yeager. Her grandfather was from Lebanon Missouri and was born June 19, 1871 and was one of about 7 kids. The family was split up for some reason with all the kids going to foster homes. He went to the O'Hurn family. One of his brothers was named Joe. That is about all we know. Can someone out there in cyberland fill in any of the blanks? Thank you. Her grandfathers name was Francis David Yeager

Re: Lebanon Missouri Yeagers
Wow! Talk about luck! :)
I hope you are still on here so we can get together!
My Grandfather is Maurice Yeager, his father was Francis David Yeager, born in MO. According to my Grandfather, Francis' parents died when he was about 8, and that's when the O'hurn's stepped in. Apparently that's how the Yeagers got out to the Western Washington area. The O'hurn's ended up doing various things out here, one was a superintendent at a logging company in the Skagit Valley area.
Having a real hard time finding anything about Francis' parents and other family members from that era. Apparently the fathers name was Adolph, which is my grandfathers middle name. My grandfather was told that Adolph came to the states directly from Germany, Hamburg.
As to Francis David Yeager, he was married to Margarette Louisa Ellison. The information I've found online about these two appears to be partially incorrect. His birth date is listed elsewhere as about 1899 in Mich., and her birth date is listed as 10AUG1901. My grandfather made mention (before I even started finding this stuff) that his mother was much younger than Francis, which makes sense. My Grandfather was born in 1919, and one of the younger of 11 kids, while one of his older brothers (Joe) was born in 1913. Joe just passed.
It would be great if we could share any other information!

Re: Lebanon Missouri Yeagers
Greetings,
We are still on this Forum. My wife is Joyce Yeager Olson, the youngest daughter of Joe Yeager, who was the brother of Maurice. She is currently quite ill but is on the mend. She acquired a serious case of pneumonia and an abcess on her lung. She was in the hospital for eight days here in La Grande, Oregon and has been in a Health and Rehabilitation Center for 11 days and will be there for another 9 days. She is receiving 6 bags of antibiotics via IV per 24 hours.
Concerning the Yeagers, we have found out quite a bit about the Missouri Yeagers including Francis (Frank's) Father Adolph, and Mother Mary, and his Sister and Brothers, and their families. We have not yet been able to trace Adolph and Mary back to Germany (they came from Baden, a large area.) We also do not know when they emigrated to America. Joyce is much more familiar with that history and I know she will contact you when she makes it back home. She also has quite a bit of information on the Ellison history.
Regards, Bill Olson
