Anthony, if you want more help you need to post more information. Are you looking for all Ybarra's or certain ones?

I agree with the previous response, Anthony, you
need to give more information about the ancestors
for whom you seek information or more of an idea
of what you'd like to find. There are certainly
a lot of Ybarra's between the late 1800's and the
6th century. I have several thousand in my tree.

you should conduct an international search. I believe the name originates to the Basque region between Spain and France. this would be more helpful for ancient ancestry considering the majority of Ybarras from Spain changed the name to Ibarra post migration. I'll see what I can find, but my time is limited.

My father Salvador Ybarra was born Salvador Ibarra in Pilares Sonora Mexico. I'm trying to find any of which I know there must be hundreds of missing people on my tree.

My wife's maiden name is Ybarra, and her father's name was Dionicio, and he was born on January 22, 1889. They lived in Jackson, Michigan. If anyone has a family tree connected to this name please advise. Thanks.

My paternal grandmother's maiden name was Alice (Alicia?) Ybarra. My father told me she was born in Ben Franklin, Texas in 1920.He also said her father's family was from Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico. Her father's name was Timothy (Timotheo?). My dad said that he came to Texas with his older brother Ambrosio. My grandma had three brothers, Alex (Alejandro?), Roy (Raul or Raoul), and Tony (Antonio?), and three sisters, Bertha, Agenes, the last sister is unknown to me because she died at a young age of unknown circumstances. My grandma's mother died in a car accident, in Mexico I believe, along with her youngest son, Tony. My great Uncle Roy was driving the car and was confined to a wheel chair for the rest of his life. After spending many years in nursing homes he recently passed away. I don't know the year of the accident, but I figured a car accident story like that would be known by several branches of the family tree. I guess I should mention that all my grandma's brothers sisters had lived in Chicago. Alex died about 15 or more years ago, my grandma in July,1986. Her sister's are still living in Chicago. My grandma had two children with her first husband Paul, they were Helen and Paul, also known as Gilbert. With her second husband, Pablo Vasquez she had three sons, Paul; my father, George (deceased) and Roy. I was hoping that maybe you had some further information on how or if my family tree somehow fits in with yours.
Please e-mail me back if you can and share some information with me.

Thanks,
Paul

Dear Paul,
Doesn't seem like our families entwine. My father Salvador Flores Ybarra was born: Salvador Flores Ibarra in Mexico. His father was: Martin Ibarra born in Rosario, Sinaloa Mexico, and his Father was: Antonio Ibarra place of origin unknown. I'm sort of stuck in the mud here. I don't know who my grandfathers sisters and brothers are, but I am assuming that he did have brothers and sisters as is fact with most families in Mexico in golden days. Good Luck to us both in our searches. Sincerely,
Sylvia
