There is a register of Autin's old 300--he was an empressario -but --I think most of his recruits were Anglos.

Your people if related to Y'barbo of Nacogdoches--originated from New Spain---and were colonist of Spain--Austin came at end of Spanish rule --toward the end of the revolution--
around 1820--Austin's people came under the Imperial Colonization Act by the new Imperial Government of Mexico

Mexico wanted to colonize Texas--get rid of Indians, and establish trade--the list of people and the land they were granted is recorded--the families usually got 4500 acres of land--for coming---most were anglos--

By the time they came --your Ybarbo and his people had been in Tx for at least 2 generations..or maybe 3--Los Adaes was established around 1720 for the first time--and was abandoned and reestablished a couple of times--and was finally abandoned around 1775--(when it no longer was the Spanish border--not valuable --Spain assumed La Colony.

Ybarbo led 200 people back and forth from Los Adaes to SanAntonio--when ordered to evacuate by Sp. Gov--he Ybarbo is famous for this leadership and is know as founder of Nacogdoches TX..

I am no expert--there are some historians that know every detail about Ybarbo---

My people are Delrio/Ybarbo/Ezernack/

Catholic records in Alexandria--very helpful --as all Spanish people were Catholic--and records were kept..

Write --I love to talk...and learn about Tx history..

My husband's mother is an Ebarb. She was born in Zwolle, La. She is descended of: Carrie Alcaro Ebarb and Louisa Ezernack which is 6th generation of Antonio Gil Ybarbo and Maria Davila Padilla.
I have obtained a watercolor painting of Antonio Gil and seen the history of Texas website to gain much information on his origins in Andulusia, Spain. His father is Matheo Ybarbo who married an Indian woman, and I have that information documented as well in our record's.
I too, LOVE to talk about family history and genealogy in general.
