Hello: Just now saw your message posted regarding the Ebarb Text--I have yet to try and find out whom started--I have even asked The Y'Barbo's whom live in Chireno and they don't know either. I like you would like to have the information corrected, my maiden name is Lazarine and it is amazing to find that my Grandparents have only two children out of 11 listed. Wonder if we passed it around would persons correct . I will not mention names but I have been told by several that have read the writings of a person in Nacogdoches whom has done research on the family???? that the information is not correct in the books either. Later,

My grandmother's maiden name is Ebarb. I have been searching as much stuff as I can and can't seem to find much. Her father's name-James Barney Ebarb-born Aug.13,1901
died Feb.15,1988
He married Ula Pearl Stivender-
born Oct.9,1906
died 1968
James Barney had several sisters and brothers. Their names are Joshua Kelly and he married Ruth, Robert Christopher-he married Edith Fischer, Harvey Allen-he married Willie Mae Lewis, Henry, Billy, Maudie or Maude-she married Bunyon Starks,Emmer-she married Eddie Odom,Hattie-she married Earl Baldwin. James Barney had two half brothers Sammy and Jimmy. James Barney's father's name--James Monroe Ebarb. James Monroe was born in Ebarb,LA and moved to Texas as a small boy. He was Apache/Choctaw. He married Julie Ann Jones. His siblings that I know of were Walt or Walter,Jesse James Ebarb, and Lilly or Lillie--She died in New Mexico. Now James Monroe's parents were Joe or maybe Joseph Ebarb and Fannie Ebarb. This is all I know and I cannot find them or anything on them. I have searched the web site but could not find any of them. If you can help me I would be ever greatful.
Thank you,
Jennifer Kluck

Carmen:
I finally got the notification that you were trying to contact me.
My maiden name is Lazarine from Nacogdoches. Alex and others of us have been discussing the Lazarine connection to the Acosta-etc lines from the Nacogdoches area. Also the Pablo Mansolo --Mansolo name have found intermarried in the family long back. My email address has changed since last posted many messages. You can contact me at mmvlj@juno.com.
Thanks ,
Ginger

I was told by my father, Donn B. Ebarb Sr. (son of Robert Christopher) that James Monroe was born in Texas (apologies, the town escapes me right how) but the courthouse were he was born burned down along with all the records?
