Carol:
In response to your question about markers, it has been a number of years since I have been there. I have sent inquiries regarding the cemetery to the Cemetery Transcription Project to find out if the cemetery is even being maintained, as up until 1976 the family is the one whom paid persons to keep the cemetery cleaned. But have had no response regarding. I do not know if the old cemetery records that are at the court house will tell you were persons are interred, but my Grandmother always told me they were buried to the right of the entrance to the cemetery and all that marked their graves were the native red sand stone.
There were three graves beside each other marked in this manner. I do remember that it was across from where my Grandfater Anthony Napoleon Lazarine and siblings of the family were buried and they have monuments on their graves. So this would be to the left of the entrance. Of course this is if the entrance remains the same. Their is the Our Lady of Lourdes cemetery not far from there that has many of the YBarbo's buried there. If you will go to the following web site:
http://www.rootsweb.com/~cemetery/TExas/nacogdoches.html this will pull up the cemeteries that have been documented and you will find the Our Lady of Lourdes has and it will give you a listing of whom is buried there and tombstone information . Also some of the YBarbo's are buried in Chireno , there is also a YBarbo Cemetery beyond Chireno, in Nacogoches cemetery there are many that are not documented, but you have the Mora, Procella, Montes--that will all have YBarbo's buried in them. On the graves that I have mentioned I was told Gil YBarbo, Anastacio YBarbo, his son and his wife are buried there. Hope this has helped. Ginger Lazarine Johnston
