Looking of Ybanez/Ibanez roots in Philippines

Surnames: Ybanez / Ibanez
Hi there

I am interested in searching my roots in the Philippines. I am Imee Ibanez Morgan. I live now in NSW Australia. My dad is the youngest of 9 siblings. My grandfather's name was Victorino Ibanez from the roots of Samar and Cebu. I remembered he said that they have to change their surname from Y to I. Hence, became Ibanez. He died at the age of 91yrs old, about 14 years ago. I don't know much of my grandfather's history. I just remembered my Dad said, he used to be a Spanish teacher. They have come from Cebu then moved to Samar Leyte and then moved the family to Davao City, some siblings live in Panabo City. My grandfather used to have a Rami plantation in Panabo City.

My grandfather married a Sanchez - can't remember my Grandma's name as she died while my dad was very young. She died of a car accident. A bus accidentally ran over her. My dad also mentioned to me that we have some Jewish, Spanish, and Chinese blood.

I would really love to chat and meet my relatives and clan one day. I have not met all of them. I have only known a few. My Dad was the youngest, so all my cousins were grown ups when we were young.

I would love to hear from you guys.
