Suzan,

Thanks for the e-mail! I don't know if we're related in any way, but let's see. My Grandfathers name was Luis Ybanez. He had a sister Esperanza. He immigrated from Mexico, although he has spanish heritage. He married my grandmother Julietta Tyler, who also immigrated from Mexico. My fathers name is Louis Ybanez, he has a brother Richard and sister Nina. Do we come from the same family tree? My name is Valarie, nice to meet you.

No! You are not related. Valerie, next time you are searching for any info, try picking up the phone and call a relative or two. Uncle Johnny was supposedly working on one and I have his e-mail somewhere. Apparently Barbara and him have moved since the last family reunion, long over-due! You see, you are forgetting that Grandpa used the name Santini, his mother's maiden name, for many years. During the Depression Italians got hired quicker than the Spaniards. In Elementary School my father went by Richard P. Santini, then back to Ybanez sometime after. So, when searching. think about all the other names you can associate. I had to do a family tree paper for my Chicano Studies Class in the Teacher Credential Program, it has alot more info about Grandpa that I can't remember off-hand. I stumbled upon this by accident and will gladly find a copy of this paper to mail out to you. Or call me the next time you are down, I can't believe I missed you guys in July!
Love Ya! Aggie!

Hi all!

I stumbled upon this thread today by accident... My dad (also named "Albert") was from Houston and now lives in Colorado. Unfortunately I know very little about his family. I do know that my grandmother was supposedly an ophaned indian....

I'll see what I can find out from my sister Vicki who knows much more than me.
