Hello Wade. I have been researching the Yaxley family for my husband. He is connected to the Kaikoura Yaxley families the first to arrive from England being Cornelius and wife Emma and five children on board the ship Cathcart in August 1874. Please get back to me with your famiy details.

Hello Carol
I don't think we have been in contact before, but I have just seen your post regarding Cornelius and Emma Yaxley. Would Cornelius have come from Necton in Norfolk, married to Emma Woolmer nee Pugh daughter of George and Elizabeth Pugh? Did they have children Arthur, Mary Ann and Ernest ?
Cornelius the eldest child of Matthew Yaxley and Elizabeth nee Cordy?
If so I have Yaxley family back to 1500's.

Hi there
I have just found your listing and believe you might be able to help me. My mother was a Yaxley - a daughter of Cyril Yaxley, son of Mark and I believe grandson of Cornelius. I would be really interested in any information you are able to provide. I am trying to trace Mum's family - but, am very new to this game.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Kind regards
Sue
PS I live in Wellington, New Zealand

Hi Sue
Can you email me at mhatcher51@yahoo.co.uk please? I have Yaxley tree going back to 1500's. Cornelius Yaxley is not in my immediate line but an "offshoot" and I have his family linked back to mine.
Am always pleased to hear from the Yaxley family!

best wishes Marilyn [nee Yaxley]
P.S. I live in North Suffolk England, but used to live in Norfolk.

Hello Sue, Just seen your message. I was born a Yaxley and am trying to find out about Robert Yaxley born about 1798 and married to Ann Snelling. Although he and his large family lived in Norwich I can't find any info about him in Norwich and I think he moved there to find work. I don't have any birth details and have come to a halt. I live in Italy now so I can't visit the Forum in Norwich anymore. I would love to hear from you if there is any chance of a link. Kind regards Tricia
