I'm looking for a William YAXLEY born 1771. He was buried 9 October 1817 aged 46 in Barton Turf, Norfolk, England.

He married Mary AMIS/AMIES possibly around 1798/99 but I am unable to find a marriage record for them.

Their eldest child was James YAXLEY born abt 1799, but I haven't been able to find a baptism as of yet.

Their next three children John, Sarah and Joseph were baptised in Ashmanhaugh in 1800, 1803 and 1805. The next two Thomas and Edward were baptised in Barton Turf in 1809 and 1812. Barton Turf was Mary's home village.

I have lots of info to share on William's descendants. Apparently William is the stumbling block of his genealogist descendants. Any help would be appreciated.

I too have searched for the parents of William Yaxley, as he is my great-gr-gr-gr grandfather. He married Mary Amis on October 19, 1795 at Barton Turf. Mary's parents were James Amies and Sarah Bloom (dau. of William Bloom and Mary ?)

Where did you find the record detailing William's death?

Son James was born March 11, 1797 in Barton Turf.

I am a descendent of Joseph Yaxley, son of William & Mary.

I would be happy to share info with you.

Regards,

Since I posted the message about William I have found out that he was born in Bradfield in 1774 to John and Mary (late THIRTLE) YAXLEY. John was most probably born in Antingham in 1740 to Edmund and Elizabeth YAXLEY. John was buried in Bradfield in 1799.

I do not know how Richard YAXLEY would fit into this scenario other to say that North Walsham is not far away from Bradfield and Antingham.
