To: Virginia Benson,
Imagine my surprise when I just happened to recheck on my listing of the Yaxley name! Oscar Yaxley was my great uncle. His wife was Annie Lovica Conant. They lived in Lake County, OH. I have been doing the family genealogy and Oscar's grandson and wife have been helping. Your leters would be a treasure to us! Would love to see them. Where do you live? I am at 13569 Avista Drive, Tampa, FL. 33624. Ph.#813-960-4854

My great-grandmother was Arvilla Coville Dolloff, who was orphaned at the age of about ten. She seems to have been brought up by the Conants. The letters are typewritten copies of letters Arvilla wrote to Annie Conant Yaxley, dated 1870 to 1897.
There are only eight letters, but they run to 16 pages. Of course, they are mostly about Arvilla and her family, but there are references to Annie's family too. I also have a photo of two girls that I have been told are Arvilla and Annie, but we don't know which is which. Would be happy to send you copies of everything.
I am at 743 Winter Street, Spring Lake, MI 49456. Phone: 616-842-3206.

Thank you for your prompt response--just before I received it, I sent you another e-mail with details. I would love to have copies and pay all expenses. I am quite sure that we will be able to identify the girls for you. I am going to call Oscar's descendants (Ray Tommy Yaxley)tonight. Their email is Marilyn

I believe my grandfather was from that area George G. Bunting - he married Dorothy Lillian Yaxley, I'm guessing also from that area. Haven't got any specific dates - Dorothy had a brother William - others? do these names ring any bells?

Ladona--My email is above--or mybarth@aol.com
You can reach me with either address. I live in Tampa, Florida. Interested in seeing if we are connected--Send me your name and e-mail and you will get an invitation with a pass word to the Yaxley Website from me (administrator) It is a closed site--by invitation only. My Yaxley Family pedigree--as I know it is in it--also pictures and a copy of great grandfather's log when he came to America in 1834 from Norfolk, England. He had a brother,William. My work has been on the descendants of Richard Yaxley--and am now working on ascendants--which is much harder!
Did I give you the e-mail of Donald Yaxley in Bryan, NY? He is from another branch of the Yaxley family. DYAX@compuserve.com
