John Wesley Yawn (wife Annie) Mississippi

Johnnie and Annie Yawn had three sons, James Wm (1892), Joseph Richard (1895) and Zachariah (1897) lived in southern Mississippi. Would like to find descendants of any or all of these men. Zach was a widower by 1940, lived with parents and evidently had a daughter named Gwendolyn. 1940 census lists her as 6 but in the 1930 census this same child appears to be living with her grandparents, Johnnie and Annie but her age is listed as 7 years old. Thought maybe the 1940 age should have been 16 but they show 0 years of school. ????
I have no marriage info on James William and I have Joseph Richard married to Idell Harvey with three children, Wilmer, Mildred and Ina Marie. Any details on this family would be greatly appreciated.

Surnames: Yawn Lepine
My name is Amy, wife of Christopher Lepine, he is a descendant of the Yawns. I know that the first Yawn in his line is Ora Ann Yawn and her father is Joseph Richard Yawn but im not sure where to go from there. Im trying to follow, from what im gathering is Joseph's father is John Wesley, and his father is Joseph Richard. Could you please help me confirm my understanding of this or not. Also I can tell you that Erma Jean Dossett is the daughter of Kenneth Dossett born 7-22-1950 Dorris Norris 1931-1981 married to Albert Joseph Lepine Sr 4-23-1947. not sure of the exact marraige date. they had four children, Albert Joseph Lepine Jr 8-12-1966, Kenneth Scott Lepine 6-30-1968, Connie Lynn Lepine Thomas 9-13-1970, and Christopher Paul Lepine 1-2-1976.

Hi Amy, hope this helps: Joseph Richard Yawn married Martha Ann Knight in 1864, Ora Ann is their daughter and John Wesley is their son (so John Wesley and Ora are siblings plus 9 more children) John Wesley had three sons, James William, Joseph Richard (born 1895, named after his grandfather) and Zachariah. Ora married John Dossett and they had nine children. One of those children is Daniel E. Dossett and Kenneth is his son.
I think you are telling me that Dorris Norris married Kenneth and that Erma Jean married Albert J. Lepine? Did I follow you correctly?
I would be happy to share more info if you would email me at rabpfb@earthlink.net. My grandmother is Ora's sister.

Well, Amy, I have to tell you that Joseph Richard Yawn's parents are our Brick Wall. I have been searching for over 20 years with no luck. I was fortunate to meet one of his grand daughter's but even she couldn't help me. She died a few years ago at age 100. Not having detailed census records prior to 1850 is a real PAIN! I can tell you that Martha Ann Knight's (Joseph Richard's wife and mother of Ora) parents are Albert Knight born 11/5/1799 in GA, died abt Jan 1862 in MS, and Mary Mason Rainey, born abt 1805 in NC and died abt 1868 in MS. I can also tell you that Ora's husband John's parents are Edmond Dossett, born 1824 in AL, died 1/4/1898 in MS and Julie Lowery, born abt 1841 and died 2/7/1912 in MS. I see that you are basically running just the direct line for your husband. If you want any info on other family members, let me know.
