My maiden name Gauger, is pronounced, Yauger in German and is still pronounced that way by all the family except those of us who moved to Montana. Try looking under Gauger and see what you find. I have info back to 1700 in Germany. You can email me at Luck

My great grandmother was Rhebecca Yauger born in Indiana (date unknown) and married William Elijah Barnes, also born in Indiana (date unknown). Both died of an epidemic, and are buried, in Waxahachie, TX in 1883.

I'm just starting the research on my family background and have very little info on generations past my grand parents.

I can be contacted at rbarnescpa@worldnet.att.net

Richard, My ggrandfather and family lived near Edinborn in German Twp., Fayette Co., Pa., in the 1880 census. His name was Samuel Wesley Hone, he was married to Susan Lindsey with her mother Margaret Lindsey (Bird/Byrd). Susan died in April of that year and lost their son Herman Hone in June 1880. I believe they lived on Mason Run and where the old school house stood many many years ago. My grandfather gave his birth as McClellandtown. I have only been to that area one time and could not find Susan buried in that cemetery outside of McClellandtown.
My connection to the Yaugers of Fayette County, was when Samuel Wesley Hone married Elizabeth Yauger (have a picture of her) (I think I have some information on her parents from a census. I believe they were from Connellsville. If any of these names stikes a note please contact me at PABoy34@aol.com Happy Holidays, good hunting. Boyd
