My name is Ron Yaudes and I am from Battle Creek, Calhoun County, MI. I have some information about Carl Yaudes. I didn't know the family even though I lived only about twelve miles away. Here is some info I have.

Carl Irving Eugene Yaudes, born July 8, 1889, son of Victor C Yaudes, born March 2, 1858. Carl married three times, the first to Iva G. Babcock. I show that they had five children, one being Evelyn. I know the something about the birth date of the other four, but nothing about Evelyn. If these are the folks you are looking for I can send more detailed information.

I sent an earlier post, but I don't see it so here goes again.

I have some data on the Yaudes/Jaudes line that goes back to Germany in the early 1700s. I see from what I have that we are related through this Yaudes line. My grandfather is Calvin John Yaudes, his father was Christian and his father was also a Christian. The later Christian had five children and one of them was Victor. Victor had a son, Carl Irving Eugene Yaudes who married Iva Babcock. I have some info on their decendents, but not a lot. I would appreciate any information that you can share. I know that there are other Yaudes' in the Battle Creek area, but I don't know the relationships. My only living Yaudes relative living in Battle Creek is my uncle Robert Yaudes.
If you want to give me your email adddress I can get more info to you. I will be in Battle Creek this August, maybe we could get together and share notes.

Victor & Caroline Jaudes (as spelled on the marriage certificate) witnessed the marriage of my great-grandmother Barbara Kraus to George H. Thunder. I believe she was married Frederick Yaudes who was probably Victor's brother. Perhaps he died and she met Mr. Thunder through some connection. Long story short, it appears that Barbara and Caroline were sisters who married Yaudes brothers. Also in your records you mention a Vena Allen and believe it or not, she was my ex-mother-in law and she married Delbert Allen of Homer, MI and they later divorced. Vena had a son named Albert. We know that there is a family connection to Carline Yaudes who lives in Tekonsha, MI on old US 27 and the pieces of this puzzle are slowly coming together.

In my previous post, I said Vena Allen and I meant to say Vena Yaudes - she has since passed away and is buried in the Lyon Lake Cemetery in Marshall, MI next to her parents.
