I've learned from another message board that a book exists called "The Yaple Family in America" written by Doris Yaple Geist and Roland W. Yeaple Sr. I'd like to obtain this book, but have had no luck finding it. Can anyone out there help me with my quest? Thanks!

Linda,
Try looking in Pennslyvannia around I think Philladelpha. I'm pretty sure that Doris' family is still in the area. If I'm not mistaken Doris passed away several years ago maybe shortly after the book was put to press. If not try the Cleveland, Ohio area there are a few Yaples in the area.

There were also several Yaples in St. Joseph County, Michigan. I am not researching them, but a fellow who I correspond with is. His people ended up in Leonidas and Mendon, Michigan

Dorothy, Does that book list a Simon, Bertha or Elizabeth Yaple. In my family Simon and Bertha spelled their name Yaple and Elizabeth spelled hers Yeaple. Simon was Chief of Police in Port Jervis, NY in the late 1800s early 1900s. I have a picture of him in his uniform. I have a whole album of pictures but don't know who they are expect for Simon and Bertha. Bertha is a child in a picture with her two brothers. That's all the information I have on them. As for Elizabeth Yeaple, she is my ggggrandmother. She married Jacob Miller and resided in Port Jervis New York. Jacob and Elizabeth had a daughter named Martha H. Miller(my gggrandmother)who married Elmer J. VanWagenen. Any information you may have is greatly appreciated.
