My name is Cheryl, everyone calls me Sherry. I cannot find any information on my greatgrand parents Arthur Trustam and Ada Stokes. I think they lived in Bedfordshire England. I know they had 3 girls and one boy . the boy was my grandfather on my mother,s side. Muriel was born July 2, 1892, Harold Arthur James,(my grandpa), born January 10,1898, Ida Kathleen born April 28 1902 and Dorthy Phyllis born April26, 1904. Ada,s family made the Stokes organs from what I,ve heard. Love some information on that too. Arthur Trustam died there when he knelt on a rusty nail and got blood poisoning. Ada was given the choice because of the money situation, I presume to either keep her kids or her staff. She gave up her children to keep the staff. Grandpa said Ida Kathleen got adopted by the Ashley,s.Any information on Ida would be nice. Dorthy Phylis never married so she would still have been a Trustam. She was a blueprinter for planes inworld war 2. Nothing known about Muriel. All sisters are dead but I have no Dates or places of death. GRandpa Harold Trustam died March 24, 1984. I know Arthur Trustam had a brother George James Trustam who married Naomi Emily Wiggins. They married Mar,29 1880, Holy Trinity, Bedford, Bedford, England. George was a laborer in a Iron Foundry. They could all be buried in the same cemetary? Please help me find any information on my family. It means a great deal to me to find out.

Hi Sherry and Steve,
There is a STOKES message board at this URL:
http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec?htx=board&r=rw&p=s...

You may receive more help from the people who frequent that message board. This board is for YALDEN research, and it would be easier for people to find your posts on the other board.

There is no message board for TRUSTAM however.

Thank you and good luck with your research!

Authur Trustam is my great grandfather, I am the grandson of Ida Asher, whose brother Harold emigrated to Canada. My brother did post a reply recently but could not trace you. Please respond if you pick this up.

Hello
I just got back on to the message boards and my g
g

Hello Sir my name is Cheryl Yeldon. I just read your reply on the message board about The Trustam Organ. I am thrilled to death. I have been trying for years to find something about the organs and my family. At first the story started as the other side of my family made them , Stokes but then the story was staightened out. My grandfather was Arthur Trustam. He was marries to Ada Emelia Stokes. They were married in Sept 1891. His occupation at that time at age 30 was listed as organ builder. I was also sent some census that looks like his brothers and such also all organ builders. I just have to verify some things. Would it be possible for you to send me a picture of the organ if I gave you my address. Please reply as soon a s possible. I can't wait. I am 43 years old and have been doing this for 20 years. Thank you so much.
Sincerly
Cheryl Yeldon

Hello,

I maybe able to shed some more light on your history, as Josiah Trustam (Bedford, UK) is also related to me!

Post a message back, and we can then continue.

Graeme
