Hi, I believe I have distant relatives living in Texas...my Grandfather, Charles Yake, came to Vineland, New Jersey in 1923 from Mount Forest, Ontario, Canada. He had a brother, John Ira Yake, who stayed on in Canada and kept the family dairy farm. This Yake family originally lived in Uxbridge Township in the Stouffville area, then moved to Mount Forest. My Grandfather Charles almost settled in Texas instead of South Jersey, but liked the climate of Southern New Jersey and settled here. I believe he had cousins who moved to Texas but I don't have any proof or dates to give you.

Ira Yake, 1849-1925 and Albert Yake, 1854-1938 are brothers born in Ontario. Ira went to Texas. Henry is one of 10 children Albert lived in Ontario but his son Charles went to New Jersey
Looking to exchange information.

Through research, I've found Ira Yake is my 3rd GGrandfather on my Dad's mom's side. His daughter, Anna Eliza was my great-great grandmom. Anna Eliza married Henry Duke in TX but details are still sketchy as to how far back things go but I know Ira was in CAN @ some point. I'm currently in NJ.
