I am inquiring about a Sylvester Yahn, my great great grandfather who came from Elberfeldt Germany approximately 1871 - 1880. He and his wife (who I think was named Elizabeth) came with their children Will, Albert, Mary Elizabeth and possibly another small child. They ended up in Crook, Colorada or Sterling where most of them stayed except Mary Elizabeth who after marrying Howard C. Welch in Leadville, Colorada went to Cleveland, TN to live. I have quite a bit of history on the Yahns. Don't know where Sylvester's wife is buried though. Don't have much info on Howard C. Welch. If anyone has any info on any of these names please let me know - especially Howard C. Welch.

Thank you for your time.

I do not have a lot of information on the Yahn's. My mother was Alice Catherine Yahn Gross who was the daughter of Elmer Yahn who had a brother Sylvester. Sylvester Yahn was born in Crook on March 7, 1902 and died August 13,1967 in Sterling, Colorado. Elizabeth Fischer Yahn was born June 8, 1881 and died December 25, 1959. I don't know if this is any help to you. I believe they also came from Germany.

Hi,

I noticed that you mentioned Leadville above . . .

Does anyone of you have old photos from Leadville?

I have some unidentified photos from Leadville during the same period as you are discussing.

Would you be kind to check if you can find any match between your photos and my photos or you might have information about some of the persons on my photos? My unidentified photos are published at the Internet page
http://oldphotos.homeip.net/Photos.htm

I'll be grateful for every single clue that will help my research; my contact information will be found at the Internet page

Thanks!
