I am searching for anyone out there with information on Mary Margaret Yager Butterworth. She was born in Ohio around 1930 to parents Barton Yager and Mary Loeffel, also of Ohio. She married Bernal G. Butterworth about 24 Apr 1950. They had children Tom and Peggy Butterworth (I do not know their exact dates of birth).

If I am not mistaken I believe Mary Margaret Yager Butterworth died about 03 Aug 2000 in Memphis, Shelby, Tennessee, USA. She was about 70 years old. Her obituary was published in the Colorado Springs paper "The Gazette" on Wednesday, August 16th, 2000. It reads as follows:

Deceased Name: MARY MARGARET BUTTERWORTH

Mary, 70, a Colorado Springs resident, died Aug. 3, 2000, in Memphis, Tenn. She was an EKG technician. Mary was born Nov. 17, 1929, in Columbus, Ohio. She is survived by a son, Tom; a daughter, Peggy Mills; a brother, Barton Yager; and five grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1520 E. Yampa St. Aaron Cremation and Burial Services, Memphis, (910) 362-7595, is handling arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Catholic charity of the giver's choice.

Mary has a sister named Helen Yager Benson (wife of Francis Benson) who died at the young age of 34 about 19 Dec 1965 in Columbus, Ohio. She had children Timothy, Kathleen and Theresa.

I'm searching for more information because I believe I share a common ancestor with this family on the Loeffel line. Mary Loeffel was the daughter of August Loeffel and Margaret Noonan. Margaret Noonan was the daughter of Michael Noonan and Mary Kane. I believe that Mary Kane was the sister of my great great great grandmother Ellen Kane Welch, formerly of Circleville, Ohio.

Any further information would be most appreciated. I have a great deal of information on our common ancestry from Circleville, Ohio and would be most interested in sharing info. Thanks for reading and I look forward to your reply. I can be reached here on ancestry.com at KCWelch01 or by replying to this message.

many thanks!
