Ramon Xiques was my greatgrandfather. He married Jeanne LeCorniche (spelling?) and lived with her and her mother. He and Jeanne had 11 children. The youngest daughter (not the youngest child) was my grandmother, Evelyn Eugenia Xiques. The family is buried in the Moravian Cemetery in Richmond Staten Island NY. When I go to put the grave blanket this year I will try to take pictures of the headstones. Jenny would be Jeanne. I don't know about any Louise or Louisa, but Jeanne's middle initial may have been L. My oldest sister has Louise as her middle name, so it could be a family name. Ramon spoke mostly Spanish and some English, Jeanne spoke mostly French with some English. I would believe that the census taker didn't care enough to get the facts straight before I'd believe Ramon lived with two women. Anyway, the research is fascinating...
