A few weeks ago I went to Salt Lake City Utah and made a copy of this book, "Ancestors of Hans David Xander and his Descendants to the Thirteenth Generation" by George Niedert that is fairly accurate. The first generation in this book is Felix Zander (1580/90-1645/46) in Bachenbulach, Canton of Zurich, Switzerland. His wife, Barbara Zimmerman, was killed in her home 24 Sep 1645. They had one son, Hans David Zander (1615-1685) and his wife was Barbara Meyers (1619-1685). Hans David and Barbara had only one child, Felix (1663-1706), as well. Felix was 22 years old when his parents died and so he migrated to Soellingen, Baden, Germany. Felix changed the surname from Zander to Xander in Germany and he married Anna Ursula Grossman (1668- ?). Felix and Anna Ursula had four daughters and one son. The son, Hans David (1704-after 1755) was only 2 years old when his father died. Hans David (1704) married Anna Katherine Martin (1713 - after 1752). Hans David and Anna Katherine were released from bondage in Soellingen, Baden, Germany in March of 1751 to go to America with five of their children. They had more children, but they died in Germany. The ship Nancy arrived in the port of Philadelphia on 27 Sep 1752 and they settled in the Old Goshenhoppen neighborhood temporarily. In 1755 David was granted a tract of land consisting of 25 acres in Whitehall Township, Northampton (now Lehigh) County, PA. The five children that came to America with them were George Frederick (1739); Elizabeth (1742) from whom you claim your descendancy; Margaret Barbara (1747); David B. (1750); and Regina Katharina (1752).
I am descended from David B (1750-1824) and his wife Catherine Stettler through their son, Daniel (1776-1858) and Eva (Miller) Xander and their daughter Lidia (1804-1848) and her first husband Samuel Wagner. Samuel and Lidia are my 4great-grandparents. Lidia is mentioned on page 41 of this book. Samuel (1802-1835) and Lidia (Xander) Wagner had four daughters and one son, Samuel (1831-after 1900) married Maria Snyder (1830-after 1900) and they had two sons, Moses and Milton. Moses Wagner (1865--1934) married Ellora Harig (1871-1932) and they had my grandmother, Anna Mariah Wagner. Anna (1891-1972) married Claude Heintzelman (1890-1971). Anna and Claude are my mother's parents, Hermie Larue Anna Heintzelman (1922-1997). Hermie married Marvin Anthony (1926-living) and I was born in 1950.
