I am curious. Do you have any more information about the Georgia connection? I have an unknown male in my family tree from about that time frame. The tree is named "Wyatt-Rains/Honeycutt Family Tree" at ancestry.com:
http://trees.ancestry.com/tree/38634041/familyThe father of the unknown male would be a John Wyatt born in North Carolina, and the mother would be his second wife, Mary Honeycutt, probably from NC also (parents unknown). At the time of this birth, the couple is believed to have been residing in Campbell County, Georgia. By 1840, most of the family had moved to Tishomingo County, MS. While the parents and younger children appear to be in Tennessee by 1850, some of the children eventually ended up in Arkansas.
I'd be very much interested in any additional information you can provide, so that I can investigate this possible connection.
